PROBLEM
Create a new portal for the Regional Medical Council of the State of Paraná (CRM-PR), using a content management tool in a way that optimizes publication, allowing constant updates without the need for long interactions with technical staff.

SOLUTION
Visionnaire relied on its portal solution, Visionnaire WebPublication, implementing the new CRM-PR portal and integrating it with several internal systems.

RESULTS
With the solution created by Visionnaire, CRM-PR continued to be a pioneer in technology solutions for doctors and society in general, allowing more than 30,000 doctors and associated entities to be served in a fast, agile and safe way, via the Web.

TECHNOLOGY
The project required a Content Management System because, due to the large volume of information and the need for constant updating, it would not be possible to develop a static website. That is why Visionnaire WebPublication, which is a CMS aimed at portals of all sizes, was used.

Other technologies used were: integration with other systems through Java language (JEE, currently Jakarta EE), Linux operating system, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Apache Tomcat, Java Portlet Specification, XML, XSL, XSTL, JSP, Ajax/DWR, JQuery and Oracle database.

Detailed problem:
CRM-PR (Brazilian Portuguese for Regional Medical Council of the State of Paraná), by means of a bidding process, needed to remodel its website. The project required a Content Management System (CMS) tool that would meet the needs of institutional communication with the medical profession and with society in general.

Among the technical requirements, there was the need to provide services on demand for the development of a content portal project, extranet (restricted area) and hotsite, as well as customization and implementation of the other associated online services and a content management tool to manage the sites.

The content management system should be unified, in addition to managing the portal, restricted area and hotsite simultaneously. The development should be in accordance with the platform, methodology, specifications and technical standards of performance and quality established in the notice and its annexes.

There was also a great expectation that the new portal would have a more modern design, in line with the wishes of the medical class and society in general, in addition to offering a specific area, called the Doctor's Site, in which the healthcare professional himself could manage his information. There were also plans to integrate with six internal systems.

Detailed solution:
Visionnaire won the tender and provided the portal solution for CRM-PR, following the concepts of a Content Management System. The product used was Visionnaire WebPublication, which met all the requirements of the project and additional needs.

The solution was also highly customized to the needs of the CRM-PR, which was a major requirement, and allowed the institution to have a unique tool that is a model for the councils of other states in the country.

The current CRM-PR portal has all the functionality of Visionnaire WebPublication, including content publishing, content separation (in the database) and layout (in the browser), security, access control, responsive design support, workflow for content publishing, database independence, integration with social media, support for Google Analytics, adherence to W3C standards, built-in HTML editor, support for all browsers (in addition to Firefox, Chrome and Explorer, also support for Opera and Safari), among others.

In addition to the portal project, other systems were integrated into the solution, which are: Doctor's Website, duplicate ticket, search for professionals, medical demographics, CRM statement and professional opportunities.
